North Hays County Fire/Rescue located at 400 Sportsplex Drive in Dripping Springs, Texas is a combination department consisting of a career and volunteer staff. We provide services to 281 square miles of Northern Hays County. The department has 9 stations located in and around the surrounding areas of Dripping Springs, Driftwood, and Henly, Texas. Station 71 is located in Dripping Springs and has a full-time crew on duty at all times. Station 74 is located at the corner of Belterra Drive and Sawyer Ranch Road and has a full-time crew on duty at all times. Volunteers are on call at all times and often staff other stations within our department.

Under the supervision of an Officer, Firefighters respond to emergencies to protect life and property. Duties include firefighting, EMS, and maintaining equipment and stations. Applicants must be 18+, have a High School Diploma/GED, Texas Basic Firefighter, and EMT certifications, and obtain a Class B license within probation.
