2026 Election

Hays County Emergency Services District No. 6 will hold a General Election on May 6, 2028, for two (2) Commissioners, each to serve a four (4) year term.

Pursuant to Texas Health and Safety Code Section 775.0345, a candidate must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a resident of the District. In addition, current state law requires a candidate for an emergency services district to be a qualified voter by the time required under Texas Election Code Section 141.001.

An application for a place on the ballot must be filed with Hays County Emergency Services District No. 6 beginning Wednesday, January 19, 2028, and ending at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2028.

Applications may be submitted in person or by mail to the District’s designated filing location. Applications may also be submitted electronically or by fax, if authorized by the District.
