North Hays County Fire/Rescue located at 400 Sportsplex Drive in Dripping Springs, Texas is a combination department consisting of a career and volunteer staff. We provide services to 281 square miles of Northern Hays County. The department has 9 stations located in and around the surrounding areas of Dripping Springs, Driftwood, and Henly, Texas. Station 71 is located in Dripping Springs and has a full-time crew on duty at all times. Station 74 is located at the corner of Belterra Drive and Sawyer Ranch Road and has a full-time crew on duty at all times. Volunteers are on call at all times and often staff other stations within our department.

FIREFIGHTER / EMT

STARTING SALARY — $63,896

Under the supervision of an Officer; Firefighters will work as a team member responding to emergencies to protect life and property. Firefighting involves working in emergency environments, life-threatening conditions with exposure to fire, smoke, hazardous materials, water rescues, bodily fluids, and intense noise. Firefighters shall also perform daily duties to support and maintain shift operations, apparatus, equipment, and stations.
